What are the different filtration options?
- Carbon Filter: This is one of the most common methods of water filtration. Water is pushed through activated carbon material. The carbon facilitates a process known as absorption, which causes contaminants to stick to the surface of the carbon, actively filtering them from your water.
- Reverse Osmosis: This process uses the natural force of water pressure as a filtering agent. The pressure forces the water through a semi–permeable membrane filter, similar in thickness to cellophane, which traps contaminants and impurities.
- Distiller: A distiller uses steam to filter your water. The distiller heats up unfiltered water, causing it to convert to steam, leaving the solid impurities and contaminants behind. The system then collects the steam and allows it to condense back into liquid form.
- Ultraviolet Disinfection: These systems are broken down into two types, class A and class B. Class A ultraviolet filters disinfect water, while class B filters target non–disease causing bacteria. UV systems pre–treat water without chemicals by altering the genetics of the microorganisms in the water source, making them unable to reproduce.
How can we help?
Not sure which system is best for your home? We can evaluate your water quality and help you choose the best method for your needs.
You can also count on us to provide a variety of installation options:
- Whole–House Filtration: These systems filter the water before it’s pumped to the various areas of your home. The filter is installed where the main water line enters your home, and helps remove rust and sediment particles.
- Under–Sink Units: Under–sink filters allow you to choose a specific location to set up your system. The location removes the need to filter sources of non–drinking water that don’t necessarily need to be filtered (such as the shower). We can install the unit under your sink with filters specifically designed to improve taste and smell, or models that can be fitted to filter bacteria, lead, and sediment as well.
Call today to find the right filtration system for your needs. We will help you install your new system without hassle so you can get started enjoying fresher, cleaner water right away.
