16-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty

Full Terms & Conditions

This 16-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty ("Extended Warranty") is provided exclusively by Dalton PHCE&F and is subject to the following terms and conditions.


  1. Definitions

For purposes of this Agreement:

  • "Dalton PHCE&F" refers to Dalton Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical, and Fireplaces, including its owners, officers, employees, agents, and authorized representatives.
  • "Extended Warranty" refers to the 16-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty described herein.
  • "Homeowner" refers to the original purchasing residential property owner at the installation address.
  • "Equipment" refers to qualifying residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or fireplace systems installed by Dalton PHCE&F.

  1. Warranty Provider

This Extended Warranty is offered and administered solely by Dalton PHCE&F. It is not a manufacturer warranty and is separate from any manufacturer-provided coverage.


  1. Eligibility

This Extended Warranty is valid only:

  • For the original purchasing homeowner
  • At the original installation address
  • For qualifying residential equipment installed by Dalton PHCE&F

This warranty is non-transferable and automatically terminates upon sale, lease, transfer, or change of ownership of the property.


  1. Term of Coverage

The Extended Warranty provides up to sixteen (16) years of parts and labor coverage from the original installation date, subject to full compliance with all terms outlined herein.


  1. Dalton Care Club Requirement

Maintaining an active Dalton Care Club Agreement in good standing is a mandatory condition of this Extended Warranty.

To remain eligible:

  • The Dalton Care Club Agreement must remain continuously active for the entire 16-year term.
  • All scheduled maintenance visits must be completed by Dalton PHCE&F.
  • Membership payments must remain current with no lapse, cancellation, or delinquency.
  • Maintenance visits must not be refused, postponed beyond reasonable scheduling availability, or performed by another contractor.

Failure to meet any of the above conditions will result in immediate termination of this Extended Warranty.


  1. Lapse, Cancellation, or Non-Compliance

If:

  • The Dalton Care Club Agreement lapses, is canceled, or becomes delinquent, or
  • Required maintenance visits are missed, refused, or not completed by Dalton, or
  • The equipment is serviced, altered, or repaired by a third party without written authorization from Dalton,

Then:

  • The 16-Year Extended Warranty becomes void immediately.
  • Labor coverage under this Extended Warranty terminates.
  • Coverage reverts solely to the original manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable and within its term).

Reinstatement, if permitted, is solely at Dalton’s discretion and may require:

  • Full system inspection
  • Required repairs
  • Proof of proper maintenance
  • Payment of reinstatement fees

Dalton is under no obligation to reinstate voided coverage.


  1. Scope of Coverage

This Extended Warranty covers:

  • Qualifying parts and labor necessary to repair manufacturer defects
  • Residential equipment installed by Dalton
  • Normal residential usage

Dalton reserves the right to repair or replace defective components at its discretion.

Replacement parts may be new or factory-authorized equivalent components.


  1. Exclusions

This Extended Warranty does not cover:

  • Lack of required maintenance
  • Improper operation or misuse
  • Neglect, abuse, or unauthorized alterations
  • Damage caused by third-party service providers
  • Power surges, lightning, flooding, fire, storms, freezing, or other acts of nature
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Air quality components unless specifically listed
  • Refrigerant leaks caused by non-manufacturing defects
  • Ductwork, electrical supply issues, plumbing, or structural conditions
  • Systems installed in commercial, rental, or non-owner-occupied properties
  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Code upgrades or modifications
  • Equipment not installed by Dalton PHCE&F

  1. Manufacturer Warranty

Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the original manufacturer’s terms and conditions. Dalton PHCE&F does not extend, modify, or guarantee manufacturer warranty terms.

If this Extended Warranty becomes void, any remaining coverage is limited to applicable manufacturer warranty provisions only.


  1. Limitations of Liability

Dalton PHCE&F shall not be liable for:

  • Incidental or consequential damages
  • Loss of use
  • Loss of income
  • Property damage beyond the equipment itself
  • Temporary housing or relocation expenses

Dalton’s maximum liability under this Extended Warranty shall not exceed the original contract price of the covered equipment.


  1. Service Requirements

All warranty service must be:

  • Scheduled through Dalton PHCE&F
  • Performed during normal business hours (unless otherwise agreed)
  • Performed by Dalton-authorized technicians

Emergency or after-hours service may incur additional fees not covered under this Extended Warranty.


  1. Transfer Prohibition

This Extended Warranty may not be transferred, assigned, or conveyed to subsequent property owners under any circumstances.


  1. Governing Law

This Extended Warranty shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Iowa.


  1. Entire Agreement

This document represents the complete and exclusive statement of the 16-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty terms. No verbal statements, representations, or modifications shall be binding unless made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Dalton PHCE&F.

 

15-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty

(Water Heaters & Water Treatment Equipment)

Full Terms & Conditions

This 15-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty ("Extended Warranty") is provided exclusively by Dalton PHCE&F and is subject to the following terms and conditions.


  1. Definitions

For purposes of this Agreement:

  • "Dalton PHCE&F" refers to Dalton Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical, and Fireplaces, including its owners, officers, employees, agents, and authorized representatives.
  • "Extended Warranty" refers to the 15-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty described herein.
  • "Homeowner" refers to the original purchasing residential property owner at the installation address.
  • "Equipment" refers to qualifying residential water heaters, tankless water heaters, or water softeners installed by Dalton PHCE&F.
  • "Dalton Care Agreement" refers to an active Dalton PHCE&F membership plan that includes plumbing inspection and maintenance benefits.

  1. Mandatory Dalton Care Agreement Requirement

Maintaining an active Dalton Care Agreement that includes plumbing inspection coverage is a mandatory condition of this Extended Warranty.

To remain eligible:

  • The Dalton Care Agreement must remain continuously active for the full 15-year term.
  • The agreement must include plumbing inspection and plumbing system maintenance benefits.
  • An HVAC-only Dalton Care Agreement does NOT qualify and does not satisfy warranty requirements.
  • Membership payments must remain current with no lapse, cancellation, downgrade, or delinquency.
  • Required plumbing inspections must be completed as scheduled by Dalton PHCE&F.

Failure to maintain the proper Dalton Care Agreement or failure to complete required plumbing inspections will result in immediate termination of this Extended Warranty.


  1. Annual Flushing Requirement

To maintain eligibility:

  • Water heaters and tankless water heaters must be professionally flushed annually.
  • Flushing must be performed by Dalton PHCE&F or documented and approved in writing by Dalton PHCE&F.
  • Service records must be retained.

Failure to complete annual flushing service voids this Extended Warranty.


  1. Water Softener Requirement (Water Heaters)

For tankless water heaters and qualifying high-efficiency water heaters:

  • An operational water softener must be installed and maintained in the home.
  • The softener must remain functional and must not be bypassed.
  • Proper salt levels and maintenance must be maintained.

If a softener is removed, bypassed, non-functional, or not properly maintained, this Extended Warranty becomes void.

Damage caused by hard water, scale buildup, mineral deposits, sediment, or improper water chemistry is not covered.


  1. Softener Maintenance (Water Treatment Equipment)

For water softeners:

  • Annual inspection and service is required.
  • Equipment must be maintained according to manufacturer and Dalton PHCE&F guidelines.
  • Improper salt usage, neglect, misuse, or bypassing the system voids this Extended Warranty.

  1. Lapse or Non-Compliance

If:

  • The Dalton Care Agreement lapses, is canceled, downgraded to HVAC-only coverage, or becomes delinquent,
  • Required plumbing inspections are missed,
  • Annual flushing is not completed,
  • Required water treatment conditions are not maintained, or
  • Equipment is serviced or altered by a third party without written authorization,

Then:

  • The 15-Year Extended Warranty becomes void immediately.
  • Labor coverage terminates.
  • Coverage reverts solely to the manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable and within manufacturer term).

Reinstatement is solely at the discretion of Dalton PHCE&F and may require inspection, repairs, proof of maintenance, and additional fees.


  1. Scope of Coverage

This Extended Warranty covers qualifying parts and labor necessary to repair manufacturer defects under normal residential use for equipment installed by Dalton PHCE&F.

Dalton reserves the right to repair or replace defective components at its discretion.


  1. Exclusions

This Extended Warranty does not cover:

  • Hard water damage
  • Scale or mineral buildup
  • Sediment accumulation
  • Improper water chemistry
  • Lack of required flushing or maintenance
  • Damage caused by freezing, flooding, or acts of nature
  • Power surges
  • Commercial or rental property use
  • Misuse, neglect, or unauthorized alterations
  • Code upgrades
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Pre-existing conditions

  1. Limitations of Liability

Dalton PHCE&F shall not be liable for:

  • Water damage to property
  • Mold or structural damage
  • Incidental or consequential damages
  • Loss of use
  • Temporary housing
  • Loss of income

Dalton’s maximum liability shall not exceed the original contract price of the covered equipment.


  1. Governing Law

This Extended Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of Iowa.


  1. Entire Agreement

This document represents the complete statement of the 15-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty terms. No verbal statements or representations shall modify these terms unless made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Dalton PHCE&F.

 

10-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty

(Water Heaters & Water Treatment Equipment)

This 10-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty ("Extended Warranty") is provided exclusively by Dalton PHCE&F and is subject to the following terms and conditions.


  1. Definitions

For purposes of this Agreement:

  • "Dalton PHCE&F" refers to Dalton Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical, and Fireplaces, including its owners, officers, employees, agents, and authorized representatives.
  • "Extended Warranty" refers to the 10-Year Extended Parts & Labor Warranty described herein.
  • "Homeowner" refers to the original purchasing residential property owner at the installation address.
  • "Equipment" refers to qualifying residential water heaters, tankless water heaters, or water softeners installed by Dalton PHCE&F.
  • "Dalton Care Agreement" refers to an active Dalton PHCE&F membership plan that includes plumbing system inspection and maintenance benefits.
